Not Yet

GH is not home yet. The kidney docs wanted to take a look and see if they could find a way to improve his renal function. Guess what? It's a no-go. His kidney function is poor because of his poor liver function. If the liver function can't be fixed, the kidney function won't improve. Alas.

He should be home tomorrow after our meeting with hospice.

I'm too tired to write more now, but there's lots to say. Some of it is even funny, in that tragic funny way, especially the stuff about my in-laws.

Oh, Snick. Sending warmest hugs. It's good that he will be home soon.
Dammit, I am so frustrated that there is so little I can say or do. Just know I am thinking of you--all four of you, but it's your role I know best, sadly--constantly.

Thinking of you.

I'm sorry that the liver and kidney treatments won't work.

I hope your mother coming helps a lot.

I'm glad you can find some humor in the in-laws.

You're in my thoughts, Snick. I'm calling Lil Sis tonight to let her know the update on you and GH.

I'm so glad your mom is on her way. We need our moms in times like these. I hope she's able to comfort and support you in every way. I also loved that you were able to nap with GH the other day. Memories are paramount.

I was wondering what was going on with the inlaws (you mentioned your mom coming, but I wasn't sure what their plans were).
I'm so sorry that the treatments aren't working. I am just so very sorry.

Snick, try to enjoy your weekend. I spent some time in church this morning, and you were in my prayers.

Oh, I'm so sorry.
I've no idea whether hugs and prayers from a total stranger would be welcome...but am sending them in hopes.
I hope your mum gets there soon.

I recently read the quote "Time is the currency of love." I hope you can let your mom/others handle as much as possible so that you, GH and the twins can focus of relishing every minute together. We're thinking of you all often...

You recently posted a picture of GH and the Ri-Man here:http://snickollet.blogspot.com/

and I look at it every day.

Such joy on both their faces!

And I pray for all of you. And cry a bit.

Lil Sis is in Disney this week with her family. I called her and gave her an update. She said to send her love. The tears were flowing on both ends during our call.
