You all had such good ideas about where my pants could be that I'm embarrassed to admit where I actually found them.
They were on top of the dryer.
I'd washed a jumbled up load of twin clothes and my clothes, and most of the twin clothes were winter things that were to get packed up and stored in the basement, where the washer and dryer are. So when I pulled the clothes out of the dryer, I put the stuff that was going to stay in the basement on top of the machine.
Somehow my jeans were in that pile of stuff.
Yay! Now I know what I'm wearing to work tomorrow.
And to Anon. who said that if she couldn't find her pants, it would probably be because she was wearing them: I can't tell you how many times I have lost my glasses . . . on my face. Yeah.

I want to thank you so much for admitting this in public because it's so nice to know that I'm not the only one. I have searched high and low for sunglasses while holding them gripped firmly IN MY TEETH ready to clip on.
Glad to hear you found them!
Can I ask you though, why you're packing the twins' winter clothes to store them? They'll surely have outgrown them by next year..?
Cari--
Good question! I'll either sell the clothes at my twin club's sale in the fall or I'll give them away to friends when next winter rolls around.
Once my friend panicked that she'd lost her cell phone. OH MY GOD, WHERE WAS HER PHONE? It's not in her bag and it should've been there, oh my God, where is it...oh, she was talking to me on it the whole time.
Oh, that's nothing. I'm the kid who once turned his entire university upside down looking for the cell phone that was in his pocket.
glad you found them!
Oh, thank goodness.
Good thing you found them! Now can you come over and find my favorite pair of brown cords that have been missing most of the winter? I've finally given up, hoping they'll appear by next fall when I can start wearing them again :)
Like Megan's friend, I once lost my MIND because I couldn't find my cell phone and it was only when my mother said, "Um, honey? Are you on your house phone right now?" that I realized that I really had lost my mind.
Yay for finding pants!
