I did not just see that.

I'm organizing some digital photos with the TV on in the background.

I'm pretty sure I just saw an ad for a Citibank cash rewards card in which a woman redecorates her house, but feels like something just isn't quite right when the job is done.

What does she decide is wrong? HER HUSBAND.

She uses the cash back from her credit card to redecorate him, and all is right in her world.

That is lame on so many levels I can't even get started.

Time for a glass of wine.

I saw that same commercial and thought pretty much the exact same thing.

Ah, nothing like a dose of immasculization to start your day off right!

Of course, I don't think they were entirely serious.

Rather sad really.

I am with you sister. That ad makes me so steamed every single time I see it.

Bleh. THIS is so why TiVo is my friend-- the stupid commercials can drive me to unwarranted excess of righteous indignation or just plain ranting. Thanks for a warning to avert my gaze if I should ever inadvertently stumble of this one.

I know people like this (I'm saying people in the hopes that being general in terms of numbers is safer) and it's not only lame it's a bit frightening. Both that she feels this way, and that he gives in. Yuck.

Saw the same commercial and also thought it was pretty messed up. And he looks really pleased, too. In what universe....?
