EDITED: My 500th Post: Sledding in NH + Mads Rides the Frog
Look at how much fun the Ri-Man and I had sledding! No good pics of Mads sledding, I'm afraid, but my mom just sent me a couple of pics from her last visit, and this one of Maddie riding the frog at our local park is irresistible:
I haven't ever commented but read frequently. I enjoy your blog.
I have twins too - they are 7 now. Even though everyone says the first few months are the hardest, the toddler years bring their own challenges and one of them is a kind of drugery. I remember feeling kind of "stuck" when they were 18 months old and it lasted awhile. You're thinking it should be easy, but it's really not and in some ways it's really harder.
You'll get through this time. I know you have other ummmmm issues at play, and that doesn't help. But just like when people probably told you when your twins were 6 weeks old "it will get better" I will tell you that this age isn't that easy - but it will get better too. The winter does suck, I'll give you that! But you are doing a great job. Keep that in mind.
We were in Jaffrey, at the base of Mount Monadnock. Gorgeous.

When Maddie was born, she was the spitting image of John, and to me she still looks very much like his side of the family. But this is the first picture I have seen of her were I could really see myself, too.

And my mother took one look at a picture of Maddie and immediately claimed she looks like you.
It looks like everyone is having great fun.
Adorable. And so good to see you smile. But then again, on a sled, you are either smiling or are scared shitless, right?
