When I did Weight Watchers before, I did it whole-hog (so to speak). Went to the meetings every week and got weighed, wrote everything I ate down in a little journal, the real deal. This time, I'm too cheap to pay for the weekly membership and it would be hard to go to meetings with the wee ones. But I learned last time that the accountability of paying and stepping on that scale every week was big for me.
This time, I'm going to be accountable to the Internet. I used to do weigh-ins on Saturday mornings, and since I got my new scale at IKEA yesterday, it seems fitting to keep that Saturday morning ritual.
Starting weight: 136.6
This is after almost two weeks of pretty strict point-counting, but my only frame of reference for if I've lost or gained is a physical I got about a month ago. My weight then was 140, so I think I've lost about 3 pounds so far.
I'm hoping to get down to my original WW goal of 127, so less than ten pounds to go.

Please tell me you are 4'10'', because if that is your starting weight, then I am at least 77% body fat right now. I'll be back to cheer you on, but my guess is... you're probably pretty thin to start with. ;)
Hi Snickolett...
I'm also on WW online. Your WI is great...3 lbs is a lot when you weigh 140.
Do you meet your points values each day? I find that with a lots of fruits and vegetables and soup, you can eat a ton of food but still fall well below suggestion Flex Points.
Woo Hoo to you. I think losing weight for oneself and one's children is a great thing.

Good for you! as a vetran Weight Watcher I salute you. Like you, I have been avoiding actually paying for the online tools and finding the time to go to a meeting. I did WW for more than a year a few years ago.. I can calculate points in my sleep. Thanks for being an inspiration! Funny, we often think we don't have the time or energy to do the points thing, but it actually does make life easier once you get into the routine because there are guidlines to follow, which takes the burden of figuring things out a lot lighter.
Way to go!
Yeah. Please be short. Pregnant now so my current weight doesn't count - but I haven't been in the 120s in many many long years. I'm happy when I get down to 140.
Your running with the babies is inspiring to me! when this baby pops out my first purchase (well, after 2 zombie like months of being a walking baby feeding machine) will be a running stroller. If you're feeling like it, I'd love a shout out to your chosen brand - do you love it? Does it make a difference, or are they all basically the same?
Way to go! Congrats!!
If you're looking for a partner at all, please let me know. I'm trying to do the ww thing without joining too, but it's so hard!! LOL
Congrats!
I don't have a blog to which I can be accountable and I once did the Weight Watchers on-line thing. But I find it works equally well (for me) to just have a little book in my desk and to write my weight every Tuesday. Seems to make me as accountable as WW did. And its cheaper!
Congrats! Weighing in is always dramatic for me. No matter how closely I follow the plan, I'm always worrying that I have gained weight.
Yes I second nina. You're 4'10" right?
If I weighed 136, I'd throw a giant party. Everyone would be invited and I'd announce my weight with a plane writing it in the sky.
But good for you...keep it up!
That's an awesome loss so far.
I did the online WW. I liked it, and it worked pretty well for keeping me motivated. Five years and three pregnancies later, I would be thrilled and delighted to be at the weight I was at when I started WW then. Maybe after this baby comes...
I am SO with Nina here.
Congrats on sticking with it, Snick. I doubt there are many trials and tribulations in life that suck as badly as losing weight.
Good for you! We sound like we're built the same. I'm at 140 now but my ideal weight is below 130. The running helps, but the Halloween candy is KILLING ME.
