For the Baby Book

Maddie and Riley learned a new skill this weekend, one that will serve them well for their whole lives. May the first weekend in November 2007 henceforth be known as The Weekend Maddie and Riley Learned to Pick Their Noses.

Ha! An important milestone indeed. I actually secretly wish my daughter could pick her nose--she's got a stubborn one in there that no amount of work with the aspirator will dislodge, and it's driving me crazy!

PS Wonder what the scrapbook page for that one would look like?!?

The Pickle's been all over that for MONTHS.

And these latest two posts must be alot of what your life is like -- something that makes you sad and cry and something that makes you laugh out loud happening almost simultaneously.

It makes me tired just to think of all those highs and lows.

Hahahahahaha!

Congratulations not achieving this momentous milestone. You will, of course, save each of their boogers on a piece of acid-free parchment.

I mean "on" not "not" of course. Sheesh.

OOOO fun AND practical. Now just make sure they pick them while driving because nobody sees you then. Hahahahahah

Just talking about that on another blog, you will appreciate my comment:

Nose picking.

As we were driving to Target yesterday my oldest asked my youngest, "Are you hungry?" as he was picking his nose. Then my oldest declared he no longer picks and eats. I responded with, We all pick at one point, but you are in the pick and flick stage. Then my youngest pipes up and asks, "Mommy, are there refills on boogers?"...the laughter, oh the laughter.

I was hoping for a picture too.

Holy moly. Nastiness abounds!

It too Buddha until about two weeks ago to learn that he could shove a finger up his nose and pull out a mean greenie.

Lately, he does it and said, "Ewwww, Mommy! Boogie!" then waits for me to pull it off. Thank God he doesn't eat those suckers!

Yes, but did they eat it?

Why, oh why, won't the 3 of mine eat something normal like lasagna, but they will eat their boogers?!

No eating yet. But they do seem to be masters of "no one sees me if I do it in the car," hence the lack of pictures since I can't photograph while I drive. If I catch them picking on camera, I will certainly post.

What an accomplishment - you should document how long it takes you to get them to take it out of their nose - good luck!

Oh, man. I can tell that they're nearly the exact same age as my daughter, Charlotte. She recently learned to pick not only her nose, but mine as well.
