Chipotle Update

First of all, Diana (no blog to link to, sorry!) pointed out in my comments that Chipotle is no longer owned by McD's. So one less thing to guilt about.

Also, their nutritional info can be downloaded from their website, which I did not discover until I got back to the office after lunch. I ended up having a vegetarian fajita bowl, no cheese, but with a drizzle of sour cream and a spoonful of guacamole. I estimated it at 12 points, and lo and behold, I was correct. With careful planning, I can do that. Next time I think I'd get the salad version instead and then I could subtract four points for the rice. Eight points is very doable for a lunch or dinner. But this could be bad, bad news for my wallet. (Not that it's expensive, but I could really see myself eating there a lot . . . )

OK, I will stop boring you all with my Chipotle and WW ramblings.

I. Love. Chipotle.

Now you've made me really hungry!

I like their rice. I even found a copycat version to make at home. It's good, but not quite as good as theirs.

Suzanne--

The PDF can be downloaded from their FAQ site:

It's not super-easy to find, but very helpful, and somewhat surprising.

Enjoy!

Wow, that's dedication -- calculating the WW points in Chipotle! Hope you're remembering to drink your water as well.

if you go to http://chipotlefan.com/index.php?id=nutrition_calculator
you can enter in what you eat by item and it will tell you what that combination of items equals (calories, fat, etc)...it's an easy way to see how much damage adding one ingredient does

I was just going to recommend chipotlefan.com, too, but it looks like someone beat me to it. I lose my willpower by the time I get to chipotle so I fax my order in ahead of time - that way I can't add tons of cheese when they're making my order right in front of me. Good luck with WW!

I had no idea you couldn't see my profile! Thanks for pointing that out, I have fixed it now. :)

Please keep eating there and talking about it! My stock keeps going up!

I am newly addicted to Chipoltle. For years, the only one was at the other end of town, where I never went, and I wasn't a huge burrito fan. But now that there are 2 within 5 miles of me (and I discovered the fajita bowl!), I am an addict. Plus, the babes love the little pieces of meat covered in guac.

I know I should go look up those calorie counts, but something is telling me not to...

Since I LOOOVE Mexican I wish we had one around here. Checked out the site and it all looks very yummy. Also like how they let YOU make the meal (and they do the work ;)

Oh. We live within walking distance from Chipotle. Bad. Bad bad bad. I had never even heard of it until we got to Chicago!

I hope you are well. I have never tried chipotle, but they are around the corner in hell's kitchen, so I will make an effort to get over there. Post soon - we miss you!

I am on WW flex plan and had to eat at Chipotle today b/c it was my only option (I know, tears, tears). I tried to do the best I could on the fly and got a burrito bowl (rice, black beans), added fajita veggies, corn salsa, and all three tomato salsas (mild, medium, hot) plus lettuce. Nothing else. It was delish! I am now trying to calculate points and am getting two numbers depending on whether I use the Chipotle official site nutritional info pdf (under faq section) or the Chipotle Fan site. The Fan site gives me over 12 points (can't calculate exactly b/c the points finder slide only goes up to 550 calories) and the nutritional info pdf gives me 10 points. Anyone else experience a difference? Maybe I've used up the 2 extra points already doing the research and typing this x-long post : )
