Moral Dilemma

The feeding pattern for the twins is change the diapers, feed the babies, put them down to sleep unless they are awake and want to play. Let's imagine that while they are eating, it becomes quite clear that one or the other (or both!) has, um, soiled his or her diaper. The feeding continues. The baby in question decides to drop into a peaceful slumber. Am I a horrible mom if I choose to let the baby sleep in a dirty diaper rather than wake the baby up and start the cycle all over again?

No! You are not a bad mother at all. A sleeping baby is a gooooooood thing. ;) Unless the baby is getting a diaper rash or something, I'd let him/her sleep through it.

The diapers now a days are pretty good at soaking up the moisture... let the sleeping baby sleep!! :)

Take care

I agree with the above, unless they had a rash I'd let them sleep, if they were uncomfortable they'll let you know. In these early days you have to take the naps when you can get them.

No, you are a SANE mom.
If they are annoyed or it's bothering them, they will let you know, no question!

I agree. Let 'em be. What will you do when they are older and sleeping in their crib? Put a poop monitor in their diaper so you can avoid letting them sleep in a poopy diaper? (Trust me, they'll do it plenty!)

It will happen, and your kids will be fine. You are a good mama!

Nope. I have an 18 month old daughter. I am still nursing her. Did it all the time when she was little like yours are. I always used ton of vaseline to give her a nice protection. I find that between the extra-soakable diapers these days and the vaseline protections it would help ease my guilt. Never wake a sleeping baby is my motto! Still is, in fact. I can count on one hand the times I've woken her. I always choose sleep over anything else.
