E-I-E-I-O

Our weekend at the farm was awesome despite the fact that I got some kind of stomach bug on Saturday. I'm actually oddly grateful that the bug hit me when it did as, thanks to the kindness of my friends, I was able to retreat to our room and spend the grosser part of the bug's bite by myself knowing that Maddie and Riley were in excellent hands. Caring for sick kids is one thing; caring for kids while I'm sick is quite awful, and I'm grateful that I had help when I needed it.

Other than that minor stumbling block, a good time was had by all. We saw cows get milked, we gathered eggs, we fed donkeys, we stroked a pony's nose, we petted bunnies, and we watched square dancers. We ate well and slept better than I would have expected, even with the time change. All in all, it was a lovely getaway and I hope we can go back someday.

I'll try to post some photos once I get them transferred from camera to computer. For now, I need to go to bed. I'm still pretty queasy and very, very tired.

I always think of e-coli contamination after being on a farm. If you still feel weak and tired or continue to have stomach issues in a day or two get yourself to a doctor, just some unsolicited advice from an old nurse.

Feel better soon, Snick!

Oh poor you...I hope that you're feeling better after a decent night's rest, and that the bug has now flown off without touching M & R

I agree - there is nothing worse than having to look after the kids (and prepare meals for them - ACK!) when you're sick.
I hope you're feeling better!

I enjoy reading your blog. I feel you are one of my 'extended family members', even though I've only met you once. I enjoy seeing pictures of the little ones. They are absolutely adorable!!! Hope you are feeling much better by now. I look forward to visiting you again in the near future.
