Splish, Splash

It was really Summer here this weekend with temps hitting the 90s. I'm not going to complain because (a) I have central air and (b) I complain all winter, so I feel like I need to shut up in the summer. Plus, I really did enjoy the weekend, weather and all. It felt, well, like summer, and it was great.

On Saturday morning, we met a friend at a local sprinkler park. The last time the twins were at a sprinkler park was last summer, when they were just over a year old. At that point, they found the whole experience a little overwhelming. This year, it was pure joy. It's not my usual long-winded style to let the pictures tell the story, but words just can't do our morning justice. I think we're going to be visiting this park a lot this summer.

Hope you all had a great weekend. We sure did.

How fun! I've been to this same park with my son. I recognize it from the photos. Last year he was afraid of it, so I'm excited to try it with him this year. It might've been the 75 kids that ran off of a bus and around him like crazy that kind of freaked him out! Looks like the twins were psyched! Glad you had a good weekend.

A little jealous of the central air...

Isn't it awesome when the kids discover they like something that they previously found repellant? lol

Must've been catching - I inflated the pool here at the Bunker, and Bunker Monkey enjoyed two days of splashing like a madman. And the best part? Napping both days, and out like a light by 8pm.

Ya gotta love the summer!

They are so cute! And it reminds me of how much I loved playing in the hose when I was a kid, and how much my kids loved it, too.

Wow. Those pictures are absolutely adorable. And they do tell the story--words really aren't necessary.

I, on the other hand, spent the weekend cursing the heat and all things summer. Since I walk around all cheerful and chirpy on rainy days when everyone is grousing about the weather, I feel completely justified. (In response to one or your comments, I've actually thought Portland and Seattle would be ideal places for me to live, just because of the weather.)

Glad you and the twins had an awesome weekend!

Hooray for a happy weekend! And a Sprinkler park - what a brilliant concept. I don't think I've heard of one at all in the UK (I guess we get enough sprinkling in the form of cold drizzle for it to be a highly necessary concept most of the time)and I just love the thought of somewhere little people can run around getting happily wet.

Adorable! And I think it's obvious how I feel about pictures telling the story from my blog... Love them! We're still waiting for warmth around here. I know suddenly it will be in the 90's, so I should appreciate these cooler days now.

I have still been lurking and reading over the past few weeks even though I haven't commented. Many of your recent posts have really touched me. Thank you for letting us into your life and your mind. I so appreciate your honesty. What a beautiful writer you are.

Yeah... I don't think they could look any cuter. It's be illegal.

Why is it that kids look that happy running around, getting wet... and yet scream bloody murder before bath time?? (rheutorical question... really. But if someone has an answer... :-D)

Pictures ARE worth a thousand words. And those are great. Looks like they found their happy place, huh?

They are totally gorgeous! We are freezing our butts here off in non- sunny South Africa. Jealous!

There fewer things in this world cuter than wet babies. =)

I think there's something wrong in the grammar in my comment. Very few things cuter. That's better. =)

Soaking beauties, the both of them. Looks like a great place to be if you are almost two. :)
