America, you got that one wrong.

I was at book club last night, so I missed the results show, and I woke up this morning to find out that America voted David Hernandez off of Idol.

David Hernandez? Really? America, what is wrong with you?

I don't think he was destined to be the next Idol, but really, the cowgirl was much worse, and Ramiele was much more boring.

Honestly.

I hope I can count on America to make a better choice when the presidential election rolls around in November.

Well 12 year old girls aren't the main voting base for president so you will have a different group in control. Maybe not smarter per se. But different.

I thought David was really bad. But I agree on the cowgirl and Filipino girl. They will be voted off soon enough.

Exactly! Thank you, thank you! I also didn't get how when Ryan asked Simon what he thought, he said that the voters had gotten it "spot on". He blasted the performances of Ramiele and the country girl waaaaay more than David's. No, David's performance Tuesday night was not his best and a little over the top...but he's far more talented and a better showman than the two girls. That's just my opinion, though. :-)

I actually think they got it right. Aside from the whole stripper thing which I could care less about, he just had a sleazy vibe about him. I wouldn't want a teenage daughter of mine interested in him. Plus, he isn't a very good singer.

I really disliked Ramiele as well, but I keep hoping for better from the cowgirl.

I couldn't get past the stripper thing to be honest. I agree with heather when she said he had a sleazy vibe!!

The cowgirl definitely should have been the one to go. Awful!

I've thought David was horrible all along. Far too many pitch problems and not entertaining in the least. However, that cowgirl was definitely worse this week. Nonetheless, I think she'll be gone soon as well. As for Ramiele, she has an amazing voice, but can't seem to find her niche. She'd better pretty quickly, otherwise she won't last long!

Kristy Lee Cook was hideous. I didn't think David Hernandez was great, but she was genuinely awful.

Based on past experience, I don't know that you can count on American voters in the presidential election either!

Cowgirl needs to GO!!!!!

Defintely got it wrong. I agree. Cowgirl should have definitely been voted off for ruining that song to such an extent.
But shouldn't we blame ourselves?...for not voting!
Ahh there's always next week.

I think the cowgirl and Ramiele will go soon enough, but I thought David was pretty lame. Something about the way he wiggles his eyebrows, and he pronounces things funny. Cheesy with a capital C.

Is anyone else loving Michael Johns as much as I am?

Amy--

Yes, yes, I am on board. He is yummy. I don't think he's the most talented of the singers--although I think he's top five for sure. But he's hot, hot, hot for sure.

I don't watch idol but whole heartedly agree with you on the election. Let's hope the Dems don't self destruct as usual!

I feel like I live under a rock. I don't watch Idol.

But I DO read about, watch, and listen to the presidential peeps. Hope that counts for something.

On the election, I fear that we will be disappointed once again by the voting American public, I HOPE not, but I fear it....on Idol, Kristie Lee Cook should have gone, I agree on that, but he should have been in the bottom 3 in my opinion.

Lots of love,

Vocally speaking, America got it right with the bottom two. They were the least two talented singers. I was fine with either one going, but David does have a slight ick/cocky vibe to him that is hard to get past.

Regarding the presidential election - keep dreaming. Only 30% of the population votes in a good year and look what happened the last time...
