More on Facebook

I'm not ready to take the plunge and post my full name here, but if you want to be Facebook friends and you don't know my real name, e-mail me your name and I'll look you up and send you an invite. Or, as a few of you have done (and if you are OK doing so), put your name in my comments.

Facebook has brought back some high-school insecurities for me. I get all nervous when I send friend requests. What if I get rejected? The agony!

Oh Facebook fun! I know you don't know me well, but I think I've been reading since march '07. If you want to friend me to see who one of your readers is, I'm laura pearson (in the network rochester '08).

I am Kimberly Willis.

I think there are several of me. I am in the Louisville, KY and also North Park networks.

Facebook really is stressful, actually. I had a friend who declined my friend request by accident (so she says and I choose to believe). It made me cry, honestly. So, now just like high school, I am reluctant to approach people, hoping they will come to me first. It's a little funny once I see it written out.

I have the same insecurities. Suddenly, I feel like I'm my kids' age: "Can I be your friend?"

AAAAGHHHH...

I had the same issues - I'm ok now, though. :)

Hi! I'm Deborah (Debbie) Svoboda, and I actually just got on Facebook a couple of days ago myself. I just found your blog again, too, and finally remembered to bookmark it this time!

You can check out my blog if you like (www.acharmedlife.typepad.com) so that you can see I am not an internet weirdo but only garden-variety strange =)

I always thought that I was too old for Facebook. I graduated highschool in '79 and my son is in his second year of university with a Facebook page of his own.
I'm kinda scared to try it, new fangled thinking and all. I'd like to think I could be included in your group, (if that's the way Facebook works) kind of like being chosen to be on the kick ball team, only I can't use my real name cause my blog is set to private cause of ugly ex husband issues...
Have fun with it though.

Hi Snickolett,
I never comment, because I'm single and childless, but your story moved me and your courage inspires me. I'd love to be your facebook friend. Michelle Zuppa, Buffalo, NY, but I think I'm the only one.

I *heart* facebook... it's the way that my friends get in touch with me instead of email.

Amy Williams--

There are actually three Amy Williamses in the London, ON network. What does your photo look like?

Jessika--

I get "no results" when I put your name into Facebook search. Any hints? Or e-mail me at snickollet at yahoo and I'll send you my name.

I am still resisting. I will rather just pretend EVERYONE wants to be my friend. How silly us girls are!

I'm new to facebook, but my name is Amanda Coats. I'm also new to your blog (been reading a few weeks) so that goes together pretty well.
